In 2015, Shannon was talking with a friend who owns and operates Sweet Serenity Chocolate Fountains. Wanting to start her own business, Shannon decided to invest in a photo booth. She contacted her mother and now partner Renae with the idea, knowing immediately that it should first and foremost be a family business. Deciding on a name was pretty easy: we knew we wanted something that was fun and exciting but still drives home the meaning of family. It wasn’t long before the business became known as “Mad Mad.”
At 8 years old, Shannon’s daughter, Madyson, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumor while Shannon’s husband was deployed. Madyson’s father was brought home by the Red Cross to be with the family as Madyson under went surgery to remove the tumor from the center of her brain. Madyson suffered a stroke while under anesthesia that still affects her eye movement to this day, but by the grace of God that was the only complication. Finally out of surgery, Madyson’s vision was temporarily skewed, making seeing difficult. Anyone entering the room would say “Hi Mady Mad” to let her know they were there. The strength, courage and determination to get through this as a family is where “Mad Mad” was born.
The business is owned by Renae and Shannon. Jerry (Shannon’s father) makes all of our amazing custom and premium backdrops. The rest of our team consists of Daxton (Shannon’s husband) and their children Dax, Madyson, Ethan & Evan!
We truly are a family run business!
